March 2025

Joy and Allen attended Balmoral Sire Evaluation Field day. Whilst we do not have any progeny from our sires on display until 2026, we appreciated the high-quality presentations. These included results of flystrike breeding values research and some results from the University of New England (UNE) on lamb eating quality, (EQ)

This year, Damien assisted Joy and Allen at the South East Field Days in Lucindale, South Australia. We took a few sheep and fleeces for display. Of particular interest was the highest ranked South Australian bred, independently tested sire from AMSEA trials in both the Sustainable Merino and Merino Lamb indexes. Some visitors came to our site to see this five year old ram, who is still in good condition and shows why he is a dual purpose merino.

We hosted AWN staff at Glen Holme for a training day on the topics of record keeping and performance testing.

Joy and Allen attended the AWI dinner and Merino Expo in Burra.

All our young sheep had their wool quality measurements taken using OFDA testing. This gives us immediate individual results.
